The Maria&Martha Hospice was founded by Diakonisches Werk Altholstein GmbH and Hospiz-Initiative Neumünster e.V., who have been working together in a spirit of trust for many years. From their own work, both recognized the need for an inpatient hospice facility early on and have been actively working towards realizing such a project in Neumünster for a long time. The Maria&Martha hospice will be legally independent and will be handed over to an operating company in the future.
