Our vision

Because every day is life, it is a matter close to our hearts to provide comprehensive care for terminally ill patients in their last phase of life and to enable them and their relatives to say goodbye with dignity - in a safe, self-determined and fulfilling way.

To this end, we will welcome them as guests in our hospice, just as Mary and Martha once lovingly welcomed Jesus into their home in their very different ways: Mary by keeping him company, Martha by entertaining him.

Listening and perceiving, but also accompanying and caring: this biblical story is symbolic of the fact that we want to care for and look after our guests with great care based on the idea of charity - regardless of their denomination, in an open, multicultural house.

Joie de vivre and quality of life will have their place in the Maria & Martha Hospice just as much as death and grief, making it a friendly and peaceful place.
